Again, I am pleased to invite all MTBO enthusiasts to participate in the next Podlasie Cup and visit the beautiful corners of this amazing region of Poland. This year, the competition will last as long as four days and will start on the last Saturday of April and end on May 3, on the 231st anniversary of the adoption of the May 3rd constitution.

The competition center will be located in Czarna Wieś Kościelna, which is located on the Podlasie Folk Handicraft Trail. There are still pottery workshops here, where hand-made gray ceramics have been made since the 18th century. It is worth visiting the studio of Mr. Mirosław Piechowski. We will also find the forge of the blacksmith Mieczysław Hulewicz. It is also worth going to the nearby Zamczysko, where Mr. Mieczysław Baranowski from aspen wood, using simple tools, conjures up, still used in the household, spoons, vegetables and scoops.

The first two stages of the Podlasie Cup will be held in Czarna Wieś Kościelna. The center will be located in the forester's lodge belonging to the co-organizer of the competition in the Czarna Białostocka Forest District, and accommodation at the school located on the other side of the road.

On Monday, a relay competition that will be held in Poczopek at the headquarters of the Krynki Forest District, another co-organizer of this year's Podlasie Cup. The place should not be advertised because it is one of a kind. On the way back, there are many interesting places to visit, two mosques in Kruszyniany and Bohoniki. In addition, it is worth trying the wonderful cuisine in the Tatarska Yurt located by the mosque in Kruszyniany. On the way back through Sokółka, it is worth stopping at the sculpture studio of Mr. Piotr Szałkowski, which is located on the Folk Handicraft Trail.

On Tuesday, May 3, the competition will be hosted by the Supraśl Forest Inspectorate, and also there, in the vicinity of the currently rebuilt headquarters of the Forest Inspectorate, the last stage of the Podlasie Cup will be held with its end. Supraśl also does not need to be advertised and it is worth visiting the Museum of Icons after the competition, which presents its collections in a very interesting and rare way.

In addition, you will be able to taste the regional cuisine, buy delicious pickles in Czarna Wieś Kościelna and buy very good bread and cinnamon cookies straight from the oven in the Karczmisko located just 3 km from the competition center.

If someone does not want to stay at school, it is worth booking a place in nearby agritourism farms because the place is very popular. Suffice it to say that when I was here last November and wanted to buy silage, there was little to choose from.
